Presented by: Courtney Halsey, Apprenticeship Program Manager, Kansas Office of Apprenticeship
Courtney Halsey is the Senior Program Manager for the Kansas Office of Apprenticeship, where she leads efforts to expand Registered Apprenticeship opportunities across the state. With a deep commitment to workforce development, she collaborates with businesses, educators, and community leaders to create pathways that empower individuals and strengthen Kansas’ workforce.
Before joining KOA, Courtney built a distinguished career as a cosmetology instructor at Fort
Scott Community College and later served as the Personnel Director for Bourbon County. Her
intuitive leadership, empathetic approach, and ability to build strong relationships have made her
a trusted advocate for apprenticeships and career growth.
Committed to lifelong learning, Courtney earned a Bachelor of Science in Workforce
Development from Pittsburg State University in May 2024. Outside of her professional work,
she prioritizes family, embraces adventure, and pursues continuous personal growth.
