    Our Chapter is excited to join with SHRM National on the Dual Membership Release (DMR) program. We will be launching this program on December 9, 2024.

    This program enables us to jointly sell and renew our Chapter membership along with SHRM’s membership in one transaction with one profile – all of this will be handled by SHRM’s robust systems. Chapters have been asking for this solution for years, and it is finally happening!  Chapter members will no longer pay separate Chapter membership dues directly to the Chapter but will instead renew their Chapter membership at the same time that they renew their SHRM membership.

    Current National SHRM Members:

    Renewal Date Alignment: To make this program work, the renewal date of your Chapter membership must be aligned to the renewal date you have on your SHRM membership. The SHRM renewal date will be the only renewal date going forward. This alignment means that on December 9, 2024, your chapter membership will automatically be lengthened so that it lasts as long as your remaining SHRM membership. 

    After this one-time alignment, whenever you renew in the future, you will be able to renew both memberships seamlessly and simultaneously!

    On December 9, 2024, Jayhawk Chapter of SHRM will join the Dual Membership Release (DMR) Program, and if you join the Jayhawk Chapter of SHRM prior to December 1st, but you are not a member of SHRM, you will receive a VERY SPECIAL offer when you become a SHRM+CHAPTER dual member.

    • 2025 SHRM Members: (Annual Dues:  $40)

    This level of membership would be appropriate for individuals who have current professional membership in the Society of Human Resource Management and have designated the Jayhawk Chapter (#486) as their local affiliate.

    • Student Membership: (Annual Dues:  $0/year)

    This level of membership is for a current human resources student with an interest in Human Resource Management and the mission of the Chapter. Student Members may not vote. Contact the VP of membership for discount coude, membership@jayhawkshrm.org

    • Retiree Membership: (Annual Dues:  $0/year)

    This level of membership is for former human resources professionals who wish to stay involved in the industry community and share their experience with the next generation(s). Retiree Members may not vote. Contact the VP of membership for discount coude, membership@jayhawkshrm.org

    Jayhawk SHRM Member Scholarship

    The ability for all Human Resource professionals to participate in a local professional organization is important to the Jayhawk SHRM chapter. It is our pleasure to be able to offer a membership scholarship program available to those who are experiencing periods of unemployment, or for those HR professionals whose employers are not able and/or willing to pay for a local professional membership. To apply, complete and submit the application below.

    Monthly Meetings

    Monthly Chapter meetings are held at Maceli's Banquet Hall: 1031 New Hampshire St, Lawrence, KS 66044.

    At our meetings, attendees are able to network with other professional in the community, enjoy a fabulous Maceli's lunch, hear from meeting sponsors, diversity spotlights, learn about volunteer opportunities, find out about chapter news, and experience a top-knotch presentation that qualifies for HRCI and SHRM re-certification credits. You can even take part in drawings and win prizes. Fees to attend these meetings are as follows:

    • Individual Meeting

    Chapter Member In-Person: $20

    Guest (Non-Member): $25 (2025 meetings)

    Student (with ID)/Retiree: $10

    Zoom Attendee: $10
