HR Coordinator- Lawrence Pretzels, Inc
This position will report directly to the HR Manager and be responsible for supporting the administration of the human resources function at this location and be an integral member of the HR Team. The HR Coordinator has key responsibilities across all aspects of HR administration and must have an HR Generalist background.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage completion from start to finish with new hire paperwork and enrollments (must be familiar with tax forms, I-9’s, background checks, drug testing administration, etc.).
- Primary responsibility for contractors, visitors, employees, vendors, etc. at front window and training visitors on GMP’s as well as other reception duties.
- Maintain HRIS system and hiring and termination check list duties.
- Train and assist as needed w/ benefits administration.
- Assist department with FMLA/STD/LTD/COBRA administration.
- 1st stop for employee questions, services, support and advice.
- Maintain Turnover and Discipline tracker reports Involvement in billing and reporting for insurance plans.
- Coordinate company wellness and employee events such as yearly picnic, flu shots, blood drive, wellness programs, etc.
- Payroll and benefit administration.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and orientation of all bakery team members.
- Assist in problem resolution and complaints.
- Process unemployment claims.
- Manage attendance policy and related recording and reporting.
- Involvement in HR Projects.
- Employee filing maintenance.
- Miscellaneous clerical and admin duties.
- Manage Office supply and first aid stock.
- Maintain and provide training for new hires and current employee refresher courses.
- Assist HR Director and Manager as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Must have minimum 3-5 years previous HR experience including payroll and benefits in a factory setting.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- HR Generalist background 3+ years
- Self motivated, strong initiative, multi-tasker Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or organizational development.
