Position Summary:
This part-time position is located in Norton, at the District Three Headquarters Office. This position assists and is delegated responsibility for the HRP II to perform basic full performance in numerous specialty areas of functional human resource management (i.e. recruitment, classifications, training, employee relations), to provide technical interpretation and guidance to Area administrative specialists (AOMs), supervisors, and managers in field locations on procedural and policy information and performing complex technical administrative transactional work in human resource specialty areas. This position is responsible for providing technical expertise, which requires analytical thought and a high degree of concentration in multiple human resource functions.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Directs and manages the preparation and processing of personnel transactions for the District, including those for new hires, rehires, reinstatements, promotions, terminations, transfers, retirements, reclassifications, leave without pay, and temps.

Provides instruction and guidance to four Area Office Managers (AOM’s) and administrative Assistants in completion of these transactions.

Consults SOMs, policy and procedures, in order to advise employees accurately in Federal and State of Kansas HR information regarding employee’s benefits.

Conducts new hire process for District headquarters employees by meeting individually with new employees to explain how to complete forms and to discuss State of Kansas employee benefits.

Manage and verify the accuracy of completed paperwork received from the Area Offices for all personnel transactions.
