    This position is located in Topeka, at the Eisenhower State Office Building, and is within the Bureau of Human Resources.

    This position develops and delivers-performance based training for employees that are aligned with KDOT’s strategic goals and objectives.

    Examples of training programs developed and provided include: 

    • Microsoft Products, and agency specific software.

    • Use a personal computer to produce training manuals, handouts, PowerPoint slides.

    This position will be crossed trained to deliver all courses offered by the Organizational Development Unit. 

    The instructor will use a personal computer, instructor training manual, participant guides, handouts, and PowerPoint slides, to reach participants. 

    This position may require up to 40% overnight in state travel.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Two years of experience in developing and delivering training materials and presentations.

    • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.  Transcripts are required in order for education to be considered.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience developing and delivering computer training and leadership and soft skill training.

    Online training development utilizing the development tool, Lectora.
